New User Tips
To find a resource, you have two options, narrow down or search.
Narrow
down
- Select one of the seven categories by clicking on the name.
- Select a subcategory from the left side to see the list of resources
- To see more resources click on the green Next button located on the right side at the top and bottom of the listing.
- Once you find the resource you want, you may click on the title of the resource.
Each resource listing has a description of what kind of information you may find there.
- Resources are provided in alphabetical order. Only 3 resources will appear on the screen at one time.
- The exact number of resources appears on the right side of the list, in the green box.
- Clicking on a resource
title will open a new web page.
- Some links may take you directly to a website, some will take you to a PDF. PDFs require Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Search
- Enter your topic into the search box and select "Search." This will begin the search.
- Select the resource that best fits what you are looking for.
- Once
you find the resource you want, you may click on the title of the
resource. Each resource listing has a description of what kind of
information you may find there.
- Resources that meet your search criteria will appear in alphabetical order.
- The exact number of resources appears on the right side of the list. It is located in the green box.
- For best search results, you may want to try several different related terms (for example, "accessible" and "disability").
- Clicking on a resource

Bad
Links and Feedback
The Housing How-to Library has two features to provide feedback.
If the link does not open the resource, click on "Report
a Bad Link" button to the right of the resource description and send a report to HousingLink.
If the resource you select did not provide the information as described, has incorrect information, or if you have other general comments, click on the "Provide Feedback" button to the right of the resource description and send a report to HousingLink.
