In March 2004, HousingLink was selected by the Fair Housing Implementation Council to conduct the Accessible Housing Marketing Initiative. This initiative was designed to determine the rate at which households needing accessible housing utilized accessible housing units in the Twin Cities metro area. The utilization rate of these households to these properties was raised as an impediment in the Metro-wide Regional Analysis of Impediments and Action Guide. This report includes the findings from an analysis of the supply and demand of accessible rental housing for those who used HousingLink's services between August 1, 2004 and April 30, 2005.
