Quick Search
Click on one of the Housing Authority Section 8 jurisdictions to view all the listings in that area.
Select Your Own Criteria Location: Select either the the Twin Cities seven-county Metro area or Greater Minnesota tab. Then select any of the cities or counties you would like to search in. If you do not select any location(s), hList will search
all locations.
Rent: You can select a minimum and/or maximum rent for your search. Choose "
= % of income" if you are looking for housing where the rent is subsidized or a percentage of your income. If you do not select a minimum or maximum rent, hList will search
all rent amounts, including "= % of income."
# of Bedrooms: You can select one or more bedroom sizes for your search. If you do not select any bedroom sizes, hList will search for
all bedroom sizes.
Note: If you would like to preform multiple searches at the same time, HousingLink recommends opening multiple browsers as opposed to multiple tabs. Preforming searches with multiple tabs will result in error messages.
Results Sort Options - Sort by Category - Click on any of the underlined column headings (City, Phone, Rent, etc.) to sort the results by that category in ascending or descending order.
- Primary, Secondary, Tertiary Sort - This function allows you to sort your search results at three levels using three different criteria. For instance, you may first want to sort the results from lowest to highest rent amounts. Then, as a secondary sort, you can sort those results by bedroom size. If needed, sort these results according to which listings have physical accessibility features.
City: Your search results may contain listings with an asterisk (*) next to the city name that was not selected in your search criteria. The asterisk (*) indicates that he listings also have housing available in your selected locations.
Modify Search: You can return to the Search screen and change your criteria.
"Include tips and abbreviations?": Check this box if you want your printout to include tips for using hList and frequently used abbreviations.
Notes Apply Online URL: Click on the URL to apply for the unit online.
Extra Amenities: The landlord has additional amenities in units that are not specifically listed here. (e.g. Big Closets, Fresh Paint) Call the landlord for the details.
Rent Special: The landlord has a special offer on the rent. (e.g. First Month Free, A Discount, etc.) Call the landlord for the specific rent special being offered.
