Housing Tip: Get Emergency Assistance in Minnesota

Emergency assistance programs in Minnesota are short-term (usually a one-time payment) for people experiencing a financial hardship like an eviction or utility shut-off. If you are in this situation you should contact the county where you live to find out how to get the assistance. NOTE: you will likely need to provide the eviction notice, copy of utility bills and/or the disconnection notice, I.D., proof of your current address, and more to receive the assistance.
